Reykhólaskóli
A summer camp will be held from
June 30th - July 2nd at Reykhólar in a typical Icelandic family reunion style. It will be a gathering of study, socializing, barbequeing and walks for the whole family, children, youth and adults.
Everyone will be invited to take part in an organized walk around Reykhólar for the whole family on Friday evening. Matthías Pétur Einarsson will give a presentation entitled Work, Wealth and Service in the light of the Bahá'í Revelation on Saturday and Sunday mornings. On Saturday afternoon participants will visit Skógar in Þorskafjörður, an endowment owned by the Bahá'í Community where a reforestation project is operated. Participants will be able to contribute to the project and enjoy nature at the same time. After a visit to the swimming pool in Reykhólar hamburgers and pylsur will be barbequed, hopefully in good weather! An evening programme with songs and fun activities will then ensue.

Registration is by phone, at 567-0344 during office hours untill June 15th or by filling out an electronic form. See link for it below. Deadline for registration is until June 25th.

Accommodation
It is possible to stay in sleeping bag accommodation or rooms at Reykhólaskóli School. There are however only 5 rooms available there (which are now fully booked). In each room there are two beds, so two adults and two children can stay in a room, with the children sleeping on matresses on the floor. Those in sleeping bag accommodation stay in a large communal area on floor matresses. Both those that sleep in a room or a sleeping bag accommodation need to bring their own bed clothes or sleeping bag and pillow. It is also possible to tent by the school. Those that do not get a room and cannot stay in a sleeping bag accommodation need to find other accommodation nearby. See for example:
